Update 04 Feb 2011: the shortcut in the Notification Center feature has been removed at the "request" of Apple. :(
To my personal knowledge, features have been removed from 5 apps at the behest of Apple in recent months. Five apps in my small sample from the hundreds of thousands on the App Store tells me there must be many more. Look for a post on this topic soon.
