0 to 100 km/h in 1.785 seconds* & less than 30 metres (video)

Built by students from ETH Zurich & Lucerne University of Applied Sciences & Arts in Switzerland, for the Formula Student international competition. Design & construction time was less than 12 months. Total output is only 147 kW (200 hp). Available power is put to best use by:
carbon fibre construction, including monocoque chassis & wheel rims, limits mass to 168 kg (370 lb)
• hub motors drive all 4 wheels, with individual electronic traction control

This vehicle is so competent, none of the drama comes through in either video. Over so soon too! ;)

From the driver's seat, it must feel very different. Witness this description of 0-100 in 3.2 seconds in a McLaren F1: "It was among the most shattering few seconds of my life ... I just hung the hell on as the world melted into a smear."
