"Occupy Flash" movement wants Adobe's plug-in dead

Ironic to see this written about Flash: "It's a fossil, left over from the era of closed standards & unilateral corporate control of Web technology." – Occupy Flash web site, Nov 2011

When others see it as vindication of Steve Jobs: "Apple's Steve Jobs vindicated as Adobe kills mobile Flash." – Jonny Evans, ComputerWorld web site,  09 Nov 2011

This is the same Steve Jobs who was the driving force behind the creation of the most closed operating system in the world.  Do I need to explain that I'm talking about iOS here?  Didn't think so.

Ironic too, that it was the closed nature of the platform (including the App Store) that allowed Apple to prevent Flash from being installed on iOS devices.  Jailbreaks excepted, of course.
