New Silk Road – by train from China to Britain




On Wednesday, a train arrived in London, after an 18-day, 12,000 km (7,500 mile) journey from Yiwu, in eastern China – the first train from China to Britain ever. The journey included Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany, Belgium, France, & the Chunnel.

At 18 days, the journey took less than half the time that would have been taken by a sea journey.
