Better ways to disable your webcam

There are good reasons to disable the camera on your computing devices – laptop, desktop, phone & tablet. This view is shared by Mark Zuckerberg (above) & FBI Director James Comey.2

Although a piece of strategically placed adhesive tape works, it may be inconvenient if you frequently use your camera for legitimate purposes, & may not be practical on a phone – not very aesthetically pleasing either. Adhesive from the tape on the camera lens & surrounding parts of the device may also be a problem.
