Why is being a human bird so hard?

Why can't humans fly like a bird?  We're built wrong:

1. Our pectoral muscles are way too small to move wings with enough force.

2. Our pectoral muscles work at the wrong angle.  By comparison with humans, birds have an extension of the sternum (breast bone) which looks like a keel sticking out of the chest.  This allows the pectoral muscles to work at a better angle.

Wired's take:

Samsung exec: Consumers should be obsessed with Samsung, not Apple
