Tesla update delivers autonomous park & summon (video)


With version v7.1 of the software, Tesla Model S is able to autonomously park or be summoned using the key fob. Suitable automatic garage doors can also be controlled by the vehicle. Requires hardware fitted to Model S since October 2014.

Tweaks to the Autopilot system include:

● speed restricted to 5 mph over the listed speed limit

● improved lane following at gaps in lane markings & worn lane markings
