Using rust & water to store solar energy as hydrogen (video)

A problem with solar energy is that it is episodic: only available in daylight hours. A compounding factor is that even in daylight, power output doesn't match well with peak demand produced by morning & evening meals. Demand for air conditioning on summer afternoons is a better match, but problems remain.
