Coal's hidden costs make solar a bargain

Hidden costs? What the economists call "externalities". Included are damage to groundwater, release of noxious gasses (e.g. sulphur dioxide, carbon dioxide) & damage to human health.

In the United State, the House Oversight Subcommittee on Energy Policy, Health Care, and Entitlements estimated the human health cost of coal fired electricity to be at least $37 billion annually.

The Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering in Australia estimated cost to be in excess of $2.6 billion per annum.
