The blind can now officially get bionic eyes (video)

"It's like watching TV on a screen with just 60 pixels."

And it's not for everyone. The optic nerve must be intact, for example.

So ... not perhaps not what you expected when you read the heading.  But it's a start & allows enough vision for the patient to move around.  Better than total blindness.
