Must watch: Astronauts describe awe of seeing Earth from space (video)

In 1990, the late Carl Sagan had the inspired idea of turning the camera on Voyager 1 (which had just passed Saturn) back towards Earth. The resulting image, shows the Earth as just 3 pale blue pixels against a field of stars. Professor Sagan put it far more eloquently when he coined the phrase, "pale blue dot":
