Eat, drink … & get on the treadmill

Our ancestors lived in a world in which sweet things & fat were hard to come by. As a result, we have an appetite for sweet & fatty foods. We even have sensors in our mouth dedicated to detection of sweet. Result? In a world where sweet & fatty foods are plentiful, we tend to eat too much.

Our ancestors lived in world which required constant physical effort. By contrast, it is all too easy for us to avoid physical effort. Result? Obesity epidemic, heart disease, type II diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, depression, anxiety, arthritis & osteoporosis.

What to do?
