Transport choices & congestion (video)

Pollution & energy consequences of our commuting choices are well documented, but something that's often ignored is how much road space we occupy.

If you walk, ride a bicycle or use public transport, you occupy a tiny fraction of the road space occupied by a single occupant motor vehicle.  How small a fraction?  Recently, in Canberra, Australia, 69 people, 69 bicycles, a bus & 60 cars got together to illustrate the differences.
